It’s funny to me how companies see email as the holy grail of their marketing programs—if they get an email, they can nurture that client on and on and on until they’re ready to buy. But they don’t invest in maximizing that channel, or making it stand apart from the other 357 emails their buyers get in a day. They spend tens—or hundreds of thousands of dollars designing a website—but pay no mind to the visual quality of their daily communications. Why come up creatively short on the most critical step of your program? You have a few seconds to make that impression, why have your brand look like everyone else’s in the inbox? —B
