“As more and more websites, mobile devices and tablets started popping up; users weren’t as willing or patient to ‘learn’ on their own. Nowadays, you’ll see more users becoming frustrated and even angry when they feel a product, application or website is substandard — and rightfully so.”
It’s easy to get caught up in personal esthetics or preferences when designing an email, website or mobile friendly app. The trouble for most designers is knowing instinctively how all users will interact with a design. While this can be determined with a fair amount of testing, you should always design with the user in mind—make their life easier, even if it means compromising on the esthetics.
